ETF Flows Recap
Spot crypto ETFs registered +$172.2M ↑ in net inflows during Monday's settled session, according to InflowScan data. Tuesday's issuer reports have not yet published — flows for today's session settle overnight and will appear in tomorrow's brief.
Fidelity's FBTC did the heavy lifting, absorbing more than 60% of the day's net take. No fund posted meaningful outflows, a cleaner tape than the two-way flow that characterized much of last week. The narrow leaderboard — one dominant bitcoin product, one Solana product, one Grayscale bitcoin vehicle — points to concentrated conviction rather than broad-based rotation.
- FBTC (Fidelity): +$104.6M ↑
- BSOL (Bitwise): +$25.0M ↑
- BTC (Grayscale): +$16.4M ↑
The BSOL print is worth flagging. Bitwise's Solana product has been a consistent recipient of institutional flow through August, and $25M in a single session is toward the upper end of its recent range. That's consistent with SOL's 15.6% 30-day gain and suggests the flow-price link on that book remains tight.
Asset Price Analysis
Bitcoin trades at $79,126 in pre-market, essentially flat over 24 hours and off 0.6% on the week. The 30-day print of +13.7% is where the real story sits — BTC has ground higher through August without triggering the funding-rate blowouts that historically accompany sharper rallies. Resistance sits at the $80K handle, which capped the last two attempts.
Ether at $2,480 continues to lag, down 3.7% on the week and up only 3.7% over 30 days. The BTC/ETH ratio has widened meaningfully this month, and Monday's flow data — heavy BTC, zero disclosed ETH activity in the top-three list — is consistent with that divergence rather than pushing against it.
Solana at $98.73 is the standout on the week (+9.2%) and month (+15.6%), holding just below the $100 psychological level. XRP at $1.48 is quiet, unchanged on the day and up 1.7% on the week.
Stablecoin Flows
USDC supply expanded by +$224.6M ↑ over 24 hours to $73.9B, while USDT contracted -$94.7M ↓ to $183.1B, per InflowScan data. Net stablecoin supply added roughly $130M — a modest build in dry powder rather than a fresh mint wave. The USDC/USDT split, with USDC expanding while USDT bleeds, is historically associated with US-hours institutional positioning rather than offshore leverage.
Outlook
The key data point Tuesday is whether FBTC's outsized share of Monday's flow was a one-day rebalance or the start of a fund-level rotation away from IBIT, which was notably absent from the top-three inflow list. Watch for that read when Tuesday's issuer data settles overnight.
On price, $80,000 remains the level BTC has to reclaim to confirm the 30-day trend still has momentum; failure to hold $78,500 would put the recent range's floor back in play. ETH bulls need a defense of $2,450 to keep the weekly slide from extending. For SOL, the $100 handle is the tape to watch — a clean break would validate the flow story building in BSOL.
