Market Overview
Risk came back into crypto Wednesday. Bitcoin reclaimed the $80,000 handle with a 3.7% session gain to $80,262, ether jumped 6.4% to $2,420.55, and both Solana and XRP added 2.3%. The rebound ran against Tuesday's settled ETF tape, which showed $209 million in net outflows — a divergence that points to spot and perp-driven buying absorbing issuer redemptions rather than a coordinated flow-and-price move.
Asset Price Analysis
Ether was the day's lead story. A 6.4% rally lifted ETH back above $2,400 after the 24h move, though the seven-day print remains down 3.7%, consistent with a bounce off oversold conditions rather than a confirmed trend reversal. Thirty-day performance sits at +3.7%.
Bitcoin's 3.7% session gain pulled the 30-day return to +13.7%, though the seven-day figure is still -0.6% — the reclaim of $80,000 repairs some of the technical damage from last week without fully erasing it. Solana added 2.3% to $94.95 and leads the majors on a weekly basis at +9.2%. XRP held above $1.30 with a 2.3% advance; the 30-day print of +8.4% keeps it the steadiest of the four.
- BTC $80,262 +3.7% ↑ (7d -0.6%, 30d +13.7%)
- ETH $2,420.55 +6.4% ↑ (7d -3.7%, 30d +3.7%)
- SOL $94.95 +2.3% ↑ (7d +9.2%, 30d +15.6%)
- XRP $1.31 +2.3% ↑ (7d +1.7%, 30d +8.4%)
ETF Flows Context
Issuer reports for Wednesday's session are still settling and will print in Thursday's pre-market brief. The most recent settled tape is Tuesday, November 3, which per InflowScan data logged -$209M ↓ in aggregate net outflows across spot BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP products.
BlackRock dominated the redemption side. IBIT shed $93.9 million, ETHA gave back $73.2 million, and Grayscale's BTC trust lost another $51.8 million. The inflow column was thin — Fidelity's FBTC absorbed $6.7 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT added $3.3 million. One XRP fund (XRPK) had not reported by cut-off, so the XRP aggregate reflects eight of nine funds reported, with the remaining issuer still settling.
The read-through to Wednesday's price action is narrow. Tuesday's outflows landed during a weaker tape; Wednesday's bid appears to have come from spot and derivatives, not fresh ETF subscriptions. Thursday's settled numbers will show whether issuers participated in today's rally or faded it.
Stablecoin Flows
Dollar-stable supply contracted sharply in the past 24 hours. InflowScan data shows USDT down $838 million to $177.7 billion and USDC down $428 million to $70.8 billion — a combined $1.27 billion reduction in on-chain dry powder on a session that saw risk assets rally.
A supply drain on an up-day is consistent with stablecoins being deployed into spot, rather than parked — one plausible read on where today's bid came from, though the direction of redemptions off exchange venues can also drive the print.
Outlook
Thursday's pre-market brief will carry the first settled ETF numbers covering today's session. Whether IBIT and ETHA snapped their outflow streak is the single most informative data point for confirming whether Wednesday's rally pulled issuer demand along with spot.
Levels to watch: $80,000 on bitcoin as the newly reclaimed handle; $82,000 as the next resistance band from late-October trading. On ether, $2,450 is the near-term ceiling that capped price into this week; a hold above $2,400 keeps the bounce intact. Stablecoin supply direction into Thursday is the other tell — a continued drain alongside firm prices would be consistent with active deployment; a reversal higher would suggest today's spend was tactical.
