ETF Flows Recap

Spot crypto ETFs recorded -$33.3M ↓ in net outflows in Thursday's settled session, according to InflowScan data. Friday's issuer reports have not yet been published and are still settling.

Grayscale legacy products drove the redemption tape. ETHE logged the single largest outflow, with the BTC trust and GSOL rounding out the top three exits. Fidelity's FETH was the lone meaningful inflow on the board.

  • FETH (Fidelity): +$2.4M ↑
  • ETHE (Grayscale): -$18.3M ↓
  • BTC (Grayscale): -$7.6M ↓
  • GSOL (Grayscale): -$6.0M ↓

The concentration of redemptions in Grayscale's higher-fee legacy wrappers is consistent with the fee-arbitrage rotation pattern that has defined much of the issuer-level flow data since the trust conversions. The absence of offsetting creations at BlackRock's IBIT or Fidelity's FBTC in Thursday's print is the sharper read — on quieter tapes, those two typically absorb Grayscale's bleed. They did not.

Asset Price Analysis

Bitcoin trades at $82,623, up 0.4% over 24 hours and off 0.6% on the week, but holding a 13.7% gain over 30 days. The $82K handle has held through the week's chop, with price capped below the $84K area that acted as resistance on the prior test.

Ethereum sits at $2,477.82, up 1.4% intraday but down 3.7% on the week — the clearest underperformer across the majors. ETH's weekly fade lines up with the Grayscale ETHE outflow concentration, though the two threads are not necessarily causal; ETHE redemptions have been structural rather than directional for most of the quarter.

Solana continues to lead on momentum, with SOL at $106.66, up 9.2% on the week and 15.6% over 30 days. XRP at $1.35 is up 1.7% on the week. The relative-strength spread between SOL/XRP and ETH is the more telling frame for positioning entering Friday than the headline flow number.

Stablecoin Flows

USDC supply ticked up $51.8 million over 24 hours to $72.8 billion, according to InflowScan data. USDT contracted by $381.6 million to $183.5 billion. The net stablecoin picture is modestly negative on the session, suggesting dry powder is not being redeployed into risk at the margin — a read that aligns with the flat-to-mixed ETF print rather than the stronger spot tape in SOL and XRP.

Outlook

Friday's settled flow data lands Monday morning and will clarify whether Thursday's $33M bleed was a one-session Grayscale rotation or the start of a broader fade into the weekend. Two data points to watch: whether IBIT and FBTC return to meaningful creations, and whether ETHE outflows accelerate above the $25M daily pace that marked September's rotation phase.

Price-wise, BTC's $82K support and the $84K cap frame the near-term range. ETH's $2,450 area is the level that has absorbed the week's selling; a loss there would open the $2,400 handle. SOL's week-over-week leadership is the standout read — if it extends through Friday's close, it would be consistent with capital rotating within crypto rather than exiting it.
