ETF Flows Recap
Spot crypto ETFs recorded -$14.3M ↓ in net outflows during Tuesday's settled session, according to InflowScan data. Issuer reports for Wednesday's tape are still settling and will anchor Thursday's pre-market brief.
Flows were modest in aggregate but tilted negative across three of the four asset buckets. Grayscale's legacy BTC vehicle led redemptions, continuing a pattern of steady bleed from higher-fee structures. Morgan Stanley's MSBT was the lone bright spot on the inflow side, consistent with ongoing fund-of-fund routing into newer, lower-fee bitcoin wrappers.
- MSBT (Morgan Stanley): +$7.8M ↑
Top outflows:
The XRPZ and GSOL exits are the data points worth tracking. Both altcoin wrappers have seen uneven demand since launch, and small-dollar redemptions on days when the underlying assets are rising — SOL up 9.2% on the week, XRP up 1.7% — point to investors trimming exposure rather than chasing. Grayscale appears on both sides of the altcoin outflow list, which InflowScan data suggests is a structural fee-driven dynamic more than a directional view.
Asset Price Analysis
Bitcoin trades at $83,736 ahead of the open, down 2.2% over 24 hours but still holding a 13.7% gain over the trailing 30 days. The $83K handle is the immediate line to watch; a clean break would open air down to the mid-$81Ks, where prior consolidation sits. Overhead, $85K has capped the last three attempts.
Ether is the overnight laggard at $2,576, down 4.5% in 24 hours and 3.7% on the week. The ETH/BTC ratio continues to compress, consistent with the pattern seen through late September when bitcoin dominance expanded. The 30-day performance gap — BTC +13.7% versus ETH +3.7% — reinforces the rotation story.
Solana at $117.21 is down 2.9% on the day but remains the week's leader at +9.2%, and the 30-day print of +15.6% is the strongest in the majors. XRP at $1.45 is off 3.5% on the session, giving back part of a weekly gain that had been built on thin volume.
Stablecoin Flows
Stablecoin supply expansion was negligible in the latest print, according to InflowScan data. USDT added roughly $25M and USDC added $8M over 24 hours — rounding error against aggregate supplies of $184.2B and $74.3B respectively. The flat issuance picture suggests dry powder is neither building nor being deployed aggressively, a neutral read heading into the session.
Outlook
Three things to watch Wednesday. First, whether bitcoin defends the $83K handle; a sustained break lower would mark the first meaningful give-back from the 30-day uptrend. Second, whether ether's underperformance deepens or stabilizes — a continued ETH/BTC decline historically has been associated with capital rotating toward bitcoin wrappers in the following settlement cycle. Third, whether MSBT's bid holds up as a signal of ongoing institutional allocation, or whether Tuesday's inflow was a one-off.
Thursday's pre-market brief will carry Wednesday's settled issuer flows, which will clarify whether the modest Tuesday outflow was a pause or the start of a broader rebalance.
