ETF Flows Recap
Spot crypto ETFs recorded -$394.1M ↓ in net outflows in Thursday's settled session, according to InflowScan data. Friday's issuer reports have not yet published, so Thursday stands as the most recent fully-settled tape. Bitcoin products dominated the redemption picture; ethereum, solana and XRP wrappers logged only de minimis directional moves.
Three bitcoin funds accounted for essentially all of the net redemption. Fidelity's FBTC was the single-largest exit at -$217.5M ↓, followed by ARK's ARKB at -$109.4M ↓ and Grayscale's GBTC at -$29.5M ↓. BlackRock's IBIT does not appear on the top-outflow list, which is consistent with prior episodes where redemption pressure concentrates in the second-tier BTC wrappers while the category leader absorbs net new creations.
- -$217.5M ↓ — FBTC (Fidelity)
- -$109.4M ↓ — ARKB (ARK Invest)
- -$29.5M ↓ — GBTC (Grayscale)
The inflow side was thin and dispersed across asset classes. Franklin's XRP wrapper XRPZ topped the creations tape at +$3.6M ↑, with Fidelity's FETH at +$2.4M ↑ and Morgan Stanley's MSBT at +$2.3M ↑. The pattern — BTC redemption concentrated in high-cost legacy products, modest ETH and XRP creations elsewhere — points to rotation within the complex rather than a wholesale exit.
Asset Price Analysis
Bitcoin trades at $81,750, up 0.3% over 24 hours but down 0.6% on the week. The 30-day picture remains constructive at +13.7%, so the overnight tape reads as consolidation inside a higher range rather than a reversal. Price held the $81,000 handle through Thursday's redemption flow — a decoupling worth watching, since flows and spot moving in opposite directions is typically consistent with ETF-wrapper rebalancing rather than directional selling in the underlying.
Ether sits at $2,399.75, up 0.4% intraday but down 3.7% on the week and the laggard across the majors on a seven-day basis. Solana continues to outperform, printing $104.39, +0.7% on the day and +9.2% on the week; the 30-day gain of 15.6% leads the complex. XRP trades at $1.32, +0.7% intraday and +8.4% on the month, with the small-ticket inflow into XRPZ consistent with the asset's steadier bid.
Resistance for BTC sits at the $83,000 area, where last week's rejections printed. Support rests at $80,000 and, below that, the 30-day base near $78,500. ETH faces resistance at $2,500 and support at $2,350.
Stablecoin Flows
USDC supply contracted by -$408M ↓ over 24 hours to $72.2B, and USDT fell -$105M ↓ to $182.5B, according to InflowScan data. A combined half-billion-dollar reduction in dollar-stable float, running alongside the BTC ETF redemption tape, is consistent with cash leaving crypto rails rather than sidelining within them. The signal is modest in isolation but worth monitoring if it extends into next week.
Outlook
Friday's issuer flow prints are the first thing to watch. If FBTC and ARKB redemptions persist into a second settled session, the Thursday tape reads as the start of a rotation out of legacy BTC wrappers; a one-day event resolves cleanly if IBIT prints a creation offsetting Thursday's outflow. Levels to watch: BTC $80,000 as near-term support and $83,000 as the ceiling of the current range. ETH's $2,350 floor is the more fragile level given the asset's seven-day underperformance.
On the data calendar, stablecoin supply is the key cross-check — a second day of combined USDT/USDC contraction would strengthen the de-risking read; a stabilization or reversal would argue the Thursday redemptions were idiosyncratic. Solana's 30-day leadership and the trickle of XRP creations suggest flow attention is dispersing across non-BTC products, a pattern historically associated with late-cycle rotation within the ETF complex.
